Description
Piaggio OEM Roller Weight for Vespa GTS 250, GTV 250, and Piaggio 250 Models
This genuine Piaggio OEM roller weight is designed for specific 250cc Quasar-engined Vespa models, including the GTS 250 and GTV 250. Weighing exactly 11.2g, it plays a key role in maintaining engine performance. Like most Vespa scooter parts from the factory, it drops straight in where the old one came out, ensuring a smooth replacement. This part effectively addresses issues caused by worn rollers, such as shifting lag and reduced top speed.
Construction and Design
This roller weight features a green composite polymer outer shell, reinforced with a machined metal center insert. The precision-engineered center bore ensures a perfect fit. This design minimizes internal friction, promoting smooth operation within the variator assembly. The construction aims to outlast generic aftermarket alternatives, providing reliable performance over time.
Replacement Guidelines
It is recommended to replace worn or damaged rollers to restore smooth shifting and top speed. This part is sold individually; however, six rollers are required for a complete variator service. Regular replacement is necessary to maintain performance during each variator service interval.
