Vespa GTS 250/300 GT 200 Speedometer Cable Assembly

Speedometer Cable Assembly for Vespa GTS and GT Models

This speedometer cable assembly is designed for Vespa scooters, specifically the GTS 250, GTS 300, and GT 200 models. It provides a reliable mechanical connection from the front wheel hub to the dashboard gauge, allowing for accurate speed readings. Like most Vespa scooter parts, it fits directly in place of the original component, ensuring compatibility and ease of replacement. Avoid the hassle of inaccurate speed readings and maintain proper maintenance intervals with this important assembly.

Construction and Features

The assembly features an OEM-spec flex tuning that precisely matches the factory part number 650849. It includes both the inner steel core and a heavy-duty protective outer sheath, providing durability and longevity. Additionally, it is pre-lubricated with synthetic grease to ensure low friction and smooth operation, preventing binding during use.

Installation Tips

When installing the new cable, ensure to route it through the front steering column without sharp bends or kinks. Such tight angles can increase friction and lead to premature wear or breakage of the inner core. During installation, examine the small plastic gear inside the hub for wear, as a damaged gear may also cause speedometer issues.
