Description
Throttle Open Cable for Vespa GTS 300 (2008-2016)
The throttle open cable is a critical component for the Vespa GTS 300 models produced between 2008 and 2016. This part connects the throttle grip to the throttle body, allowing for smooth acceleration. Like most Vespa scooter parts from the factory, it drops straight in where the old one came out, making it a straightforward replacement for any DIY enthusiast. This cable is made to meet original equipment manufacturer specifications, ensuring reliability and performance.
Construction and Design
This throttle open cable features a black outer housing that provides a sleek appearance while protecting the inner components. The inner wire is made from stainless steel for reliable performance, and both ends include threaded barrel adjusters, allowing for precise tension adjustments. This design ensures a secure and efficient connection within the dual-cable throttle system found in the Vespa GTS 300.
Installation and Replacement
Installing this throttle open cable is a direct fit, requiring no alterations to the grip or throttle body. It serves as one part of the dual-cable system, and it's important to note that a separate closing cable is also needed for a complete throttle replacement. Regular inspection and timely replacement of this component can help maintain scooter performance.
