It plays a significant role in the variator system, which affects acceleration and overall performance. As one of the Genuine Buddy scooter parts, this component ensures smooth operation by maintaining proper weight distribution within the variator. Each scooter requires six of these weights for a complete service, making it a necessary purchase for maintenance.

Construction and Material

Constructed from a heat-resistant composite material, this roller weight is built to withstand the rigors of everyday riding. Its low-friction outer surface reduces the risk of flat-spotting and uneven wear, contributing to longevity. The vibration-dampening inner core promotes balance, ensuring a smoother ride and reducing strain on the variator assembly.

Installation and Compatibility

With standard dimensions of 16mm x 13mm, this roller weight fits directly into the factory variator without modifications. Riders typically replace roller weights when they notice a decline in performance or after many miles of use, as worn weights can lead to inefficient acceleration and increased wear on variator components. It’s advisable to check the condition of the roller weights during routine maintenance.

Specifications

Material: Heat-resistant composite

Size: 16mm x 13mm

Position: Variator

OEM Part Number: PGO OEM

Fitment

This roller weight is compatible with the following models:

Genuine Buddy 50

Genuine RoughHouse 50

Genuine Rattler 50

Not sure it fits?
