They play an important role in your scooter's performance by influencing acceleration and top speed. As one of the GY6 scooter parts that can significantly impact your ride, changing these weights is often the first recommended step in performance upgrades.

Understanding Roller Weights

Roller weights affect how your scooter accelerates and reaches its top speed. Heavier weights will slow down the initial acceleration but can lead to a higher maximum speed. Conversely, lighter weights provide quicker acceleration but might limit the top speed. Depending on your riding style and preferences, selecting the right weight is key to improving performance.

Installation Insights

Replacing the roller weights is a straightforward process typically done at home. Begin by removing the variator cover to access the weights. Once removed, simply swap out the old weights for the new ones, ensuring they are securely in place before reassembling the variator cover. This part is commonly changed when improving acceleration or tuning the performance of your scooter.

Specifications

Size: 18x14

Fits: GY6 125cc and 150cc engines

Fitment

These roller weights are compatible with various makes and models, including:

Baja

Boreem (BMS)

Kazuma

Roketa

Schwinn

Tank

Vento

Not sure it fits?
